Editorials
From the Editor
Welcome to the July 2026 issue. It’s been a very busy couple of months.
From the President
A lot has happened in the political world since the last Bulletin was published in April. Andy Burnham will be the next Prime Minister of the UK, and so we must wait for news of his new ministerial team to understand the implications for healthcare policy. Meanwhile, healthcare delivery remains very challenging with no sign of significant improvements across the NHS. The latest waiting times figures for England show another rise – seasonally not unexpected for the month of May, but still in excess after adjustment.
