National Pathology Week 2026 – Welcome to the lab

NPW 2026 runs from 2 to 8 November.

The College is working with the Pathology Alliance to deliver this year’s National Pathology Week (NPW), which runs from 2 to 8 November.

Welcome to the lab!

The theme for NPW 2026 is ‘Welcome to the lab’ and we hope this inspires lots of our members and their teams to get involved. Visit our NPW webpage to download logos and other digital assets, and to find out more about how to take part. We’ve just relaunched our ‘Get Involved’ organiser guide, which gives ideas for NPW events that you can run easily in your workplace or community.

Free support and resources for your NPW events

If you’re running an event or activity, please register it on our website so we can add it to our events calendar. You can order free promotional materials for any in-person NPW events you’re running here.

Pathology Alliance – online events for students

Some of the Pathology Alliance organisations are running a series of webinars about careers in different pathology specialties. The College is delivering 7 of these online events, which are running on weekday evenings throughout November. The series is aimed primarily at undergraduates and foundation doctors, although they may well be of interest to secondary school students and some will be relevant to trainee clinical and biomedical scientists.

There will also an event on direct-to-consumer tests, aimed at broader audiences including patients, which is being led by the Association for Laboratory Medicine.

Find details of all the events, including dates and booking links on the NPW page.
