I enjoy the challenge of the specialty – so much is still unknown about immunology. The work is outpatient based and patients are very often sent to the clinic because they need specialist diagnosis. There are few clinical trials for many of the rare conditions we manage, so we’re sometimes working at the cutting edge of investigative science.
